ARTWORK

Sun and moon room
Interactive Installation

A short video of an artwork at the Art Museum of Nature and Human Non-Homogeneity in Nagasakibana resort camping ground, Bungotakada city, Oita prefecture, Japan. https://nature-and-human.art/ Sun and Moon Room: The first room is the Sun and Moon Room, where you can interact with sunlight. As you walk through the room, the small windows on the ceiling automatically open and close to create a pool of sunshine under your feet, leading you to an experience of being surrounded by natural light. Your position is detected by sensors, and only windows at the intersection of that position and the sun will open. On a clear day, a smoke machine will automatically work at certain intervals so that you will be able to see the rays of sunlight falling on your feet in a beautiful way. The system is designed to analyze cloud movements and weather information from the Japan Meteorological Agency (the national weather service in Japan) for the best effect at any given time.
